First Atlantic Bank has opened its North Industrial Area branch as part of an expansion drive to bring banking services closer to its customers.
The new branch, which is the fifth to be opened by the bank this year, forms part of the bank’s strategy to build businesses within its operational areas.
The Board Chairperson of First Atlantic Bank, Mrs Karen Akiwumi-Tandoh, said following the continuous change in the banking landscape in Ghana, there was the need to design packages that would meet the demand of the banking public.
She said customers demanded greater convenience, increased accessibility, a wider variety of products and services, improved system availability, good customer service and faster turn-around times.
She added “As the requirements of consumers increased, we at First Atlantic Bank are constantly redesigning our value proposition to deliver on your expectations and in response to customers’ demands; our strategy is to create and roll out branches that are specifically suited to their environment and by so doing position our branches to constituently deliver a memorable customer experience.”
Mrs Akiwumi-Tandoh expressed the hope that the new branch would help grow the bank’s commercial banking portfolio and would be particularly relevant to the numerous businesses within the Industrial Area.
Establishing links
For his part, the Executive Director of First Atlantic Bank, Mr Daniel W Addo, said their overall objective was to become the bank of choice locally and internationally by establishing strong links with regional players in the West African sub-region and Africa at large.
“And so for those of you who are doing business in the sub-region, this is your bank of choice. We have strong alliances, we have a strong relationship, we have robust products that allow you to make your payments and collection in Burkina Faso, in Nigeria and Benin, among others,” he stated.
Mr Addo pledged a different banking experience and a strong customer service culture in its new branch.
