Dr De-Gaulle Moses Dogbatsey named among 100 African Dignitaries in Health

Dr De-Gaulle Moses Dogbatsey, Chief Executive Officer of the Medi-Moses Clinic and Prostate Centre, has been named among the 100 Legendary African Dignitaries in Health for 2026, receiving the honour at a ceremony held in Kigali, Rwanda, on June 5, 2026.

The 100 Legendary African Dignitaries Awards, organised by The Business Executive, is a continental platform that has since 2011 recognised exceptional leaders across more than 20 host countries, with over 120,000 local and international participants.

Pioneering prostate care

Dr Dogbatsey is a Ghanaian medical doctor and entrepreneur who has transformed men's healthcare across Ghana through his leadership of the Medi-Moses Clinic and Prostate Centre, which specialises in treating prostate problems in men and operates five branches nationwide. The centre has treated over one million patients with prostate problems over three decades of practice.

A graduate of the School of Medical Sciences at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Dr Dogbatsey began his career at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where he rose to the rank of Senior Medical Officer. He later returned to KNUST to earn a Master of Philosophy degree in Pharmacognosy (Plant Medicine) and lectured the first batch of herbal medical students at the institution. He is reputed to be the first Ghanaian medical doctor to specialise in plant medicine.

Herbal innovations

After heading the Clinical Research Department at the Centre for Scientific Research in Plant Medicine at Mampong Akuapem from 2004 to 2008 and training in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr Dogbatsey established the Medi-Moses Prostate Centre.

The centre focuses on treating enlarged prostate and benign prostatic hyperplasia. He developed the Prostatcure Herbal Tea, which helps shrink an enlarged prostate back to normal size without surgery, along with Prostatcure-X Capsules. These formulations have earned international recognition and numerous awards.

Dr Dogbatsey has also produced fifty-seven different herbal products addressing a wide range of conditions, including infertility, sexual weakness, erectile dysfunction, hypertension, diabetes, menstrual problems, peptic ulcers, haemorrhoids, skin infections and malaria.

Recognition and gratitude

The organisers stated: "Dr Dogbatsey exemplifies the spirit of the 100 Legendary African Dignitaries Awards. His proven leadership and dedication to driving partnerships, investment, and growth across Africa make him a true role model for the next generation of African leaders."

Dr Dogbatsey expressed his profound gratitude: "This is a massive win for the Medi-Moses fraternity. I want to take this opportunity to thank God Almighty, my loving wife Mrs Juliana Dogbatsey, my children, all the staff at Medi-Moses, especially our Marketing Manager Mr Nana Bonsu Afrane. I also thank my partners and cherished clients for their unflinching support throughout this journey."
