As Accra Brewery Limited’s (ABL’s) flagship brand, Club has journeyed through every aspect of Ghana’s political, social, economic and cultural landscape, providing refreshment and sociability to ‘Charlies’ in Ghana since 1931.

In line with its hallmark of bringing the nation, its people and cultures together, the Adinkra symbol, Nsaa, has been chosen as the commemorative emblem for the special edition label and crown of club beer.

The Nsaa symbol represents the authenticity and originality of Club.

To kick-start the anniversary activities, a special commemorative Kente cloth called Amammere, meaning tradition in Akan, has been woven in rich gold and green colours and also displays the Nsaa Adinkra symbol.

The Amammere Kente has been designed for presentation to 25 unique Ghanaians who have contributed tremendously to the nation’s development in diverse ways.

These individuals, who are from various fields, including highlife music, film, business, education, traditional rule and governance, will be decorated with this special Kente to reward them for their illustrious services to the nation.

the Marketing Director of ABL, Samori Gambrah, expressing his excitement about the 85th anniversary, indicated that “our anniversary celebration not only marks the achievements of Ghana’s most storied brand over the last 85 years but is, most importantly, a thank you to all the ‘Charlies’ over several generations who have chosen our crisp and refreshing brew”.

ABL has so far presented many personalities with the special commemorative Club Amammere Kente across the nation and will continue doing that throughout the year.
