Chamber of Commerce to sign MOU with Scottish counterparts

A memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and its Scottish counterpart will be signed in Aberdeen next week.

A delegation from the west African country will visit the Aberdeen chamber’s office in Bridge of Don next Thursday to discuss emerging oil and gas opportunities.

ExxonMobil is among major firms to announce plans for operations in Ghana this year, joining others including Tullow and Kosmos.

Members from the Ghana chamber will be joined by representatives of government agencies and senior directors from the country’s leading energy firms.

The event will see the MOU between the UK Ghana Chamber and the Scotttish Chamber of Commerce network being officially signed.

The Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce says the MoU will form a basis “to create and strengthen links” between the two to enhance trade.
