ADB pledges convenient banking for clients

The Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) has announced the rollout of more digital platforms to make banking more convenient and comfortable for its clients.

“Our ultimate focus is to make the customer comfortable and doing business with us enjoyable and convenience,” the Managing Director of the bank, Dr Kofi Mensah told the Daily Graphic in an interview.

Customer Service Week

He was speaking to mark this year’s International Clients Service Week, which is being marked from last Monday, October 5 to today, Friday, October 9, 2020.

The International Customer Service Week starts from every first Monday of October.

Some management members joined other staff to celebrate clients for their continuous loyalty and commitment to doing business with the bank.

As part of the bank's observation of the week, a cocktail was set up at the banking hall and clients were encouraged to sample the variety of drinks on the stand for free. The drinks were some assorted local soft drinks as well as fruit juice.

Some of the staff also dressed in uniform of other professions such as farmers, market women, footballers and medical doctors.

Enhanced services

Dr Mensah gave the assurance that the bank remained committed to offering enhanced and innovative services to make banking a seamlessly business.

“We want to assure our customers that we will continue to do business with them by offering them the opportunity to do banking at their convenience,” he said.

He was full of praises for the clients for continuing to do business with the bank, saying that the client was the most important person, adding, "without you, we will be out of business."

Priority

Dr Mensah said the dedication of the staff of the Bank knew no limit and even in the heat of the COVID-19 when other financial institutions were closing their branches, "ours remained open.

"When others had cut down drastically their operations time, we only reduced by an hour," he said, explaining that it was all about making the client comfortable.

He gave the assurance that the customers would continue to be the priority of the bank, recalling that since 2017, the bank had refocused its attention on agribusiness.

“The idea is to make agribusiness the focal point of all our business, and as you know, just about a month ago, we rolled out GHc50 million facility for poultry farmers. All these are aimed at the welfare of our clients,” Dr Mensah further explained.

“We believe that when our customers are doing well, that where more deposits will come and more businesses will come,” he added.

Dedicated staff

He said the bank was resilient and currently stronger than it was some years ago and customers were assured that the bank would continue to offer them the best of service.

Dr Mensah thanked the staff of the bank for their commitment and dedication to duty, “and that is why our customers are still with us and like Oliver Twist, we still ask for more.”

He said the focus of the bank was to become one of the topmost public banks in the country.
