Accra City Hotel appoints Divine Matey as new General Manager
ACCRA City Hotel, one of the finest hotels in the capital, has a new General Manager.
He is Divine Matey. His appointment took effect from September 1, 2022.

His appointment is in line with the commitment of the management of the hotel to preserve its position as the best choice for temporary lodging in Accra.
Background
Mr Matey is a Chartered Accountant certified by the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana and a Certified Executive Practitioner certified by the Academy of Executives and Administrators UK.
He is also the first Ghanaian to lead the facility since its inception in 1988.
Mr Matey is an alumnus of the Gugliemo Marconi University (Italy), Universidad Catolica De Murcia (Spain), Accra Technical University, Presbyterian Boys Secondary School (Legon), Martin de Porres Preparatory School (Dansoman).
He has been a member of the Institute of Management Specialists UK since 2014, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana since 2008. He is a Rotarian and a past President (2020/21) of the Rotary Club of Accra, Osu Oxford Street.
Mr Matey’s career at the Accra City Hotel spans a period of 23 years where he has held various positions including Store Keeper, Purchasing Manager, Financial Accountant, Chief Accountant and Financial Controller.
