THE 2013 Bank of the Year, Access Bank Ghana, is to realign its brand as part of its repositioning strategies to re-energise and enhance its corporate image next year.
According to the bank, the rebranding process is also to enable swift penetration of new markets and also to serve its customers with the best practices, culture and processes.
The Managing Director of the bank, Mr Dolapo Ogundimu, disclosed this when he led a delegation to pay a courtesy call on the management of the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) in Accra last Thursday.
The visit formed part of a road show by the bank meant to thank its customers and other stakeholders for their support which culminated in the bank winning the prestigious award in the banking sector.
The visit was also to dedicate the award to GCGL for being a major sponsor of the 13th edition of the banking awards organised by Corporate Initiative Ghana.
The success story
Mr Ogundimu expressed gratitude to the management of GCGL for sponsoring the event, adding that the honour has opened greater doors for the bank.
Aside the growth in business, he said the awards had also boosted the morale of the staff of the bank to work harder and also challenged the organisation to pull its weight to sustain its current status.
He attributed the company’s success story to the teamwork and transparency of his administration.
Explaining the rationale for the rebranding, he said the decision, which perfectly coincided with the bank’s laurels, was intended to boost the image of the organisation.
As part of the bank’s initiatives for next year, Mr Ogundimu added that a women’s movement aimed at building a community of women in leadership through capacity building and financial support would be undertaken.
Doors opened
While welcoming the delegation from Access Bank, the Managing Director of GCGL, Mr Kenneth Ashigbey, congratulated the bank on behalf of his team.
He said the company had been elevated hence the need to work hard to sustain its current status.
GCGL, he said, was open for partnership between the two organisations to work for their mutual benefit, especially during the rebranding of the bank.
He said the two could work together since GCGL had the platform to help the bank achieve its aim during the rebranding process.
