Access Bank to hold SME capacity workshop in Tamale
Access Bank Ghana will hold its first SMEs capacity building workshop on digitalization for the year, in Tamale Thursday, February 24, 2022.
The workshop on the theme ' Boosting Digital Skills For Emerging Opportunities” seeks to bring together SMEs from across the Northern Regional capital, to equip them with emerging trends on digitalization for business growth. The event is in partnership with Graphic Business and Open Labs Technology.

Speaking ahead of tomorrow's capacity building workshop, MD of Access Bank, Olumide Olatunji urged participants to utilize every knowledge they acquire from the workshop. "
Thursday's capacity building workshop opens our Bank's series of SMEs' engagements for the year. Our world keeps evolving and so should our approach to every business venture. Applying the dynamics of the present business terrain will propel your businesses to growth. Access Bank recognizes the immense contribution of SMEs to Ghana's economic development and so we will continue to support you with knowledge, hands-on training, business advisory services and capital to help your businesses to succeed", he intimated.
Thursday's workshop is the first of engagements lined up to equip SMEs on digitalization for business growth. Three earlier editions held in 2021, in Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi, reached over 6,000 SMEs in person and online.
They equipped participants with practical sessions on leveraging digitalization and technology for business opportunities and growth.
Sharing the impact of a previous capacity building session on his business, CEO of C- Mec Company Limited noted that his business had seen progress from applying lessons from the engagements. ‘The initiative from Access Bank since 2021 has really helped my business. I am a beneficiary of both the SME clinic and the capacity building workshop. The whole agenda of digitization has opened me up for new market ideas and opportunities', he said.
Access Bank is well positioned to support SMEs. The introduction of its Instant Business Loan was one of the interventions targeted at SMEs. The Bank is in constant engagement with customers to understand their varied needs and help to find solutions to them.
