Access Bank rewards 20 customers

Access Bank (Ghana) Limited has rewarded 20 customers and patrons in the first mini-draw of its ongoing “Change Your Level” promotion.

The draw, which was held at the bank’s new branch at Haatso in Accra, was preceded by a savings walk through some principal streets of Haatso and its surrounding areas to reach out to the under-banked and unbanked. The National Lotteries Authority (NLA) supervised the draw.

 

The winner of the first mini-draw Mr Rajesh Kumar Pravenbhai of the Tarkwa branch, will receive a family-of-four trip to Dubai with spending money, while the rest were rewarded with consolation prizes such as rechargeable lamps, smartphones, LED television sets among others.

Speaking at the event, the Head of Private and Women Banking of Access Bank, Mrs Matilda Asante-Asiedu, said the promotion was part of a broader strategy by the bank to promote financial inclusion by tapping into new segments of the retail market, as the 30 per cent banked population was already overstretched by competition.

“Access Bank believes that everyone has the right to a safe and affordable way to save, invest or undertake financial transactions,” she said.

He added that in line with the company’s commitment towards delivering to its valued customers, it had in the last three years consistently developed exciting products and campaigns aimed at providing flexible options for people to start saving, rewarding loyal customers and attracting the segmented markets outside the banking sector.

She said the bank would, therefore, take the “Change Your Level” promotion beyond Accra to Kumasi, Takoradi, Tamale, and other parts of the country to empower people to save towards a secure future.

 How to enter promotion

To enter the promotion, customers are expected to deposit a minimum of GH¢200 into their new or existing Access Bank savings or current accounts. Customers increase their chances in the draw by depositing multiples of GH¢200.

The second and the final draw would be held in December and January respectively to reward adopters of the campaign.

The ultimate prize winner would receive a plush three-bedroom house fitted with a complete kitchen, an air-conditioner and an automated gate while the second mini-draw winner will drive home a brand new Hyundai Accent. — GB
