Tips to build better mental health

Mental health is often overlooked. And even when someone gets to experience a mental illness, they are suggested to visit a doctor and take medications.

I am not against depression treatments, but I believe people who are facing anxiety and stress-related issues can function better in life when they commit religiously to work upon themselves. There are certainly major reasons that make one thing about themselves mentally ill and further disturb their brains and thoughts.

Today in this blog post, I will introduce you to all the effective ways of adopting, leading you towards a better mental health state. Trust me; the process does produce guaranteed results. However, it is not much fast. Every good thing happens slowly, so does this harmless procedure of self-treating your mental illnesses. And I strongly believe this is the best kind of diagnosis for mind related troubles and emotional breakdowns. Without any further talks, let us now get onto the main context of the article!

WAYS TO BUILD A BETTER MENTAL HEALTH

I really do not understand why mental health is treated as something that can not ever be cured in your society. About half of the patients who go through mental diseases get more severe of the loss of hope they face! I would drop a side tip here. If you ever feel like you are getting anxious or stress is disturbing you and taking you into depression, DO NOT announce it to your closest friends. The more you talk about it, the more it builds up in your mind. And you also do not need everyone's opinion to treat yourself when you can better do that by understanding yourself, no? Check out these tips for yourself!

1.    STICK TO POSITIVITY

It is often your own thought's fault that is dragging into mental illnesses that even do not exist. You assume yourself to be ill when you are all perfectly fine. This is because you are staying with negative people or in the wrong company. Such people impose a great impact on your mind, and all your energy drains out when you spend time with them.

I would suggest you eliminate these people as soon as possible since that is the best way to escape life's toxicity and negativity. If you can not do that, try not to listen to them all the time and specifically do not tell your stories to them. The more you stay away from negativity, the better it would be for your brain. Healthy relationships are important! But, you need to realize the importance of appreciating each other, so that your mutual relationship goes good!

SIDE TIP: If you are married and have a spouse’ try to maintain a good relationship with them. This will also you build a better mental health. You can try out these hobbies for couples to achieve this purpose.

2.    TRY TO AVOID DRUGS

Many people who are addicted to drugs can not achieve to build up better mental health. No matter whatever they do, they would not ever get the piece that a healthy person MUST have. This is because drug addicts take drugs when they feel anxiety or stress and need some peace to escape into. The only thing they find suitable in such a situation is to consume drugs or to smoke tobacco or nicotine.  

You must be well aware that such acts, no matter in whatever way justified, are BAD! I would drop here one good tip. If you find it super difficult to get rid of drugs, you can try out CBD products. They are extracted from organic hemp plants and have zero intoxicating effects. I like the fact that though they do not affect your brain or organs negatively, they do produce the same instant aftereffects that a person feels after smoking weed or tobacco.

3.    FITNESS IS NECESSARY

Exercising does not only benefit your physical health but also highly affects your mental state. If you do not like exercising in the morning, you can prefer to do that in the evening instead.  

Apart from exercise, for better mental health, you can also try out yoga or meditation activities. Going to the gym studio is not a necessary condition for this. Meditation, without the part of a yoga exercise, is very important for every person. It helps you realize what you are doing in your life and where you need to work upon. It also helps to reduce stress and make you function better in life.

4.    GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK

Working at all times in life is something you should not do; you would end up wasting all your time doing things that might take away your happiness. If you are a working person, work with passion. People usually work for money and stress themselves out during the process. Even if you do not love your job, you can try to give yourself breaks in between and adjust your work according to your mood.

Take a day from the entire week, totally off, to relax your mood and enjoy yourself with your family and friends. You can plan to go on a trip or to a café for a good lunch and settle down your mood swings. This is good for your mental health and makes you fresh and more productive in your life afterward.

5.    EARLY TO BED, EARLY TO RISE

Must have heard of this quote before? IT REALLY WORKS! If you want to turn healthy, wealthy, and wise, you must get to bed early. Getting to bed early does not mean spending a couple of hours with your phone screen and exposing yourself to all the harmful rays before sleeping. Doing this does harm not only your eyes but also your skin and your mental health.

I would suggest you keep your phone aside at night when you plan to sleep. When you wake up, get off the bed, take a good walk, and then check your phone after getting fresh. I understand a mobile phone is definitely necessary and must be checked frequently; however, it must not be allowed to affect your mental health AT ALL!
