Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company Rafimex Ghana Limited and its subsidiary, Fairway Supermarket, have renewed their partnership with Chef Abbys’ Big Street Feast, supporting the second edition of the community initiative with beverages and food supplies worth significantly more than their contribution last year.
The event, held on October 16 to mark World Food Day, brought people together across Accra and Kumasi through shared meals and community engagement, highlighting the role of food in fostering social connections and a sense of belonging.
Rafimex, which distributes brands including Lucozade, Ahmad Tea and Pure Heaven in Ghana, contributed more than 20,000 bottles of Lucozade, 20,000 cups of Ahmad Tea and over 20,000 packs of Pure Heaven juice. Fairway Supermarket also provided 10,000 pieces of bread to support the initiative.
The contribution built on the companies’ participation in the inaugural Big Street Feast, during which they provided food and beverages valued at more than GH¢400,000.

Speaking about the partnership, the Head of Corporate Affairs at Rafimex Ghana Limited, Mrs Abigail Ofosu Antwi, said supporting community initiatives was an important part of the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility.
“We are giving away over 20,000 bottles of Lucozade, Ahmad Tea and Pure Heaven Juice. We believe in Corporate Social Responsibility, and Ghana is a place where we have grown. Giving back to society is one thing that is very meaningful,” she said.

The Big Street Feast was initiated by content creator and influencer Chef Abbys as a platform for bringing people from different backgrounds together through food. Its second edition extended the community celebration to more than five locations across Accra and Kumasi.
Rafimex and Fairway’s continued involvement reflects their commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen community relationships and create shared experiences beyond their commercial activities.
The partnership also highlights the role businesses can play in community engagement through practical support and collaboration with local initiatives.
World Food Day is observed annually on October 16, providing an opportunity for communities and organisations around the world to celebrate food and its significance in everyday life.
