Recruiting Coach Abubakar has paid off — Commey
The Chief Executive Officer of Aduana Stars Mr Albert Aryeetey Commey says Coach Yusif Abubakar deserves credit for his technical abilities and competence which helped the team to win the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League title, their second in seven years.

According to him, employing Coach Abubakar last November to succeed Romanian trainer CiaobaAristica was one of the best decisions taken by management, adding it has yielded the required results.
“Coach Abubakar deserves commendation because he has really contributed immensely to our winning of the league title,” he told the Graphic Sports in Dormaa after the coronation of Aduana Stars as GPL champions.
“When Aristica left we were all worried because we didn't know who will fit the bill but when we finally settled on this man he filled the vacuum perfectly.”
“Apart from his technical competence, Coach Abubakar has a cordial relationship with the players to the extent that he made them understood how important it was for them to win the league for themselves, the club and for the people of Dormaa Ahenkro.
“There was also mutual respect between him and management, always making consultations before taken critical decisions and I think that a coach will only have to be worth his mettle and cooperative to get this kind of result.”
While praising the experienced tactician, Commey pledged his support as well as that of the entire management team to ensure that Coach Abubakar and his charges make it to at least the group stages of the CAF Champions League.
“We want Aduana to remain successful in the coming seasons and in Africa, so we have assured him of our fullest support so that he gets the needed peace of mind to take us to the desirous level,” Commey also revealed.
Coach Abubakar guided the Dormaa-based side to lift their second league title in seven years after they won the first one under the tutelage of the late Herbert Addo in 2010.
