Ampomah justifies Ghana call-up with goal

Ghana's in-form player, Thomas Partey, is continuing with his impressive run as he scored the winner for Atletico Madrid in their 1-0 victory over Deportivo La Coruna in the Spanish La Liga last Saturday.

Though Partey will miss Ghana’s final game against Egypt on Sunday, he no doubt showed he was maintaining the good form he has found himself in at the beginning of the season.

Emmanuel Boateng made a cameo appearance for UD Levante in their 2-1 home defeat to Girona, Mubarak Wakaso put up a man-of-the-match performance for Deportivo Alaves in their 1-0 win over Espanyol.

In the Segunda Division, Owusu Kwabena made a cameo appearance for Real Oviedo in their 3-2 victory over Lugo

Italy

Kwadwo Asamoah was an unused substitute for Juventus in their 2-1 win over Rahman Chibash's Benevento Calcio and Afriyie Acquah was a late substitute for Torino in a 1-1 draw with Inter Milan.

Isaac Cofie couldn't feature in Genoa's 0-2 loss to Sampdoria at the Stade Luigi Ferraris as Godfred Donsah was in action for Bologna in a 2-3 loss to Crotone in the Italia Serie B.

France

Abdul Majeed Waris lasted 87 minutes for Lorient in their 1-1 draw at Paris FC in the French Ligue 2, goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi was on the bench for Sochaux Montbiliard as they drew 3-3 with Orleans.

Ebenezer Ofori failed to play for VfL Stuttgart in their 3-1 defeat at Hamburg SV in the Bundesliga with Austrian-born of Ghanaian descent, Kelvin Danso, rescued a point for Daniel Opare's Augsburg in their 1-1 draw with Leverkusen.

Kevin-Prince Boateng miraculously returned from injury to play full throttle for Eintracht Frankfurt in their 2-1 win over Werder Bremen.

Bernard Tekpetey was introduced on the 60th minute for Altach as they were beaten 4-2 at home by LASK Linz, Samuel Oppong was a substitute for BW Linz in their goalless draw with FAC Wien and Majeed Ashimeru came on in the 56th minute for Austria Lustenau in their 2-4 loss to Liefering FC.

Kingsley Boateng played full period for Reid Grodno as they won 2-1 away over Wattens in the second tier league.

Belgium

Nana Akwesi Asare captained KAA Gent in their 1-0 victory over Standard Liege and William Owusu Acheampong lasted full minutes for Royal Antwerp as they were beaten 3-1 by Sporting Charleroi.

Joseph Aidoo was in defence for KRC Genk in their 0-0 draw with Lokeren as Osah Bernardinho Tetteh warmed the bench for Westerlo during a 1-3 loss at Cercle Brugge KSV.

Belarus

Joel Fameyeh registered a goal for Dinamo Brest when they won 2-0 over Neman Grodno and Dickson Afoakwa came off the bench to help FC Gomel defeat Krumkachy 1-0.

Croatia

Reagy Ofosu, a German-born of Ghanaian descent scored his second league goal for Istra 1961 in their 4-1 win over HNK Cibalia, Obeng Regan made a cameo appearance for Inter Zapresic as they defeated Osijek 3-1.

Portugal

Lumor Agbenyenu lasted 75 minutes for Portimonense in their 1-1 away draw with Ernest Ohemeng’s Moreirense and Alhassan Wakaso was an unused substitute for Vitoria Guimaraes in their 3-1 loss to Benfica.

Switzerland

Raphael Dwamena was in fantastic form for FC Zurich as they drew 1-1 with FC Sion, Kasim Nuhu was in action for Young Boys when they held FC Basel to a 1-1 draw an in the Challenge League, Kwadwo Duah played entirely for Winterthur in their 1-1 draw with Servette Geneva FC.

Turkey

Stars skipper, Asamoah Gyan, was a second half substitute as Kayserispor played out a 0-0 stalemate with Trabzonspor while Joseph Attamah played full period for Istanbul Basaksehir in their 2-0 away win against Yeni Malatyaspor.

Bernard Mensah was also on target for Kasimpasa as he scored in their 2-2 draw with Emmanuel Agyeman Badu's Bursaspor.
