Gerald Ankrah to be confirmed Hearts MD
Gerald Nii Adjabeng Ankrah is expected be confirmed as the Managing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak at the club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on Wednesday, November 26 at the World Trade Centre in Accra.

He spearheads a new-look management team, which includes former Hearts defensive stalwart, Joseph Addo, who has been appointed as the club’s Corporate Affairs Manager .
Addo, a member of the once-famous ‘Musical Youth’, a revolutionary squad in the mid-1980s which included other iconic players as the late Shamo Quaye, Ablade Kumah and Ezekiel Alamu, returns to the Phobians after a stint as assistant coach with Berekum Chelsea.
Mr Ankrah, the current Executive Director of Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA), replaced Neil Armstrong Mortagbe last September, after the latter was relieved of his duties by the Hearts board.
However, his appointment is set to be rubber-stamped by the board at this month’s AGM, which will also discuss the financial statements for the year, which ended June 30, and reports of the Directors and Auditors.
Mr Ankrah holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and had previously worked as Head of Finance and Administration with the Metropolitan Enterprise Television Limited and is currently a board member of the Graphic Communications Group Limited.
He was the director of the News Times Corporation in May 2011. Ankrah also served as the Project Director for the body that was responsible for the publication of the Code of Conduct for GIBA members for Election 2012.
A statement signed by Alloh & Partners, Board Secretary’s of the club, said that the meeting would approve the remuneration of the Directors and authorise the Directors to negotiate and determine the remuneration due the Auditors of the club.
The statement also advised that a shareholder of the company who could not attend the meeting might appoint a proxy to attend and vote on his or her behalf.
