His record attempt took place in collaboration with Sportradio Sport1.fm in Munich, Germany and saw three people battle it out for the title, live on air.

Christian's feat was part of a radio contest to find a sports fan who could shout the longest “goal” in the style of Latin American soccer commentators who stretch their vowels.

The soccer fan yelled “Tor” – which is the German word for “goal” – for an impressive 43.56 sec.

The Guinness World Records rules for this title state that the challenger must maintain a sound level of at least 80 decibels throughout the entire attempt.

Official Guinness World Records adjudicator Seyda Subasi Gemici was on hand to ensure that all of the rules were followed, alongside independent witnesses and a sound engineer.

This is the kind of record anyone can try – have a go and see how you compare against Christian.
