D.G. Hathiramani ping-pong Nov 19

The 10th edition of the D.G.Hathira-mani Memorial Table Tennis Championship will be staged at the D.G. Hathiramani Sports Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium on November 19 from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

According to national team coach, Anthony Owusu Ansah, the tournament is open to players under 18 years and is sponsored by Dr S.A. Quaye, who manages the Hathiramani Trust Tund.

Last year’s defending champions, Emmanuel Ofori, from the Eastern Region, and Augustina Bendoo from the Central Region, will seek to defend their respective titles in the competition.

The event, which is expected to attract over 200 players from across the country, will take the knockout format system of play to determine the final outcome of the winner.

Mr Owusu Ansah revealed that cash prizes and other mouth-watering rewards would be at stake.
