Apasu, who appeared before the Commission together with the Chief Director of MOYS, said unlike the players and technical team of the Black Stars, who took 100,000 USD each, seven members of the Management Committee of the GFA took US$82,500 which was agreed upon by cabinet.

He said the amount was what was agreed on by cabinet before the competition.

On his part, Alhaji Abudulai Yakubu, Chief Director of MOYS, told the Commission, the Public Interest Committee (PIC), has over the years not executed  their functions well.

“In my opinion I don’t think the PIC is working well. But it is under the Executive Committee, so the ministry has no control.” He stated.

When asked whether minutes of deliberations between MOYS and the GFA, prior to the World Cup were available, Alhaji Abudulai answered in the negative.

“There were no minutes on meetings held between the GFA and MOYS”.

The PIC, is one of the bodies under the GFA, which is tasked with the responsibility of liaising with MOYS to provide the necessary facilities required for building the national football teams, supervise the provision of funds by the Government for purposes of building the National football teams.
