Baba Rahman scores first goal for Schalke in win over Balotelli's Nice (VIDEO)

Ghanaian defender Abdul Baba Rahman scored his first goal for Schalke 04 in their 1-0 win over Mario Balotelli’s OG Nice on Thursday in the Europa League.

The former Augsburg starlet scored the only goal of the match with a stunning strike in the 75th minute.

Baba consistently shuttled down the left-flank during the game performing his assigned role in defence as well as supporting the attack.

He got his just reward in an attacking foray when he receive a pass from German starlet Max Meyer before unleashing a left-footed shot which beat Nice goalie Yoan Cardinale at his near post.

The goal won all three points for Schalke in their Europa League group stage opener.

He was earlier booked in the 32nd minute for a late challenge on an opponent.
