During the week, the player who has strike 51 times for the national team, sealed a two-year deal with Turkish side, Kayserispor, to make it his eighth club in his career.

His career journey started with Liberty Professionals in Dansoman before he was shipped out to Italian Serie A side, Udinese in 2003. Subsequently he was sent on loan to Serie B side, Modena to help him gain some experience but returned after the 2006 World Cup.

French Ligue 1 club, Rennes expressed interest in the Ghanaian international and captured him for €8 million on a four-year deal in 2008. His exploits in the French league caught the attention of Sunderland in 2010 to break the bank to sign Gyan for a club record fee of £13 million.

A year later, UAE club, Al Ain grabbed him on loan but signed him later for five years with Gyan expected to pocket over £6m each season. By 2015, he attracted interest from Chinese club Shanghai SIPG who offered him a deal with a weekly salary of £227,000 to become one of the world's best paid football players. Unfortunately, he had to come back to the UAE to play for Al Ahli before signing for the Turkish club this week.
