After surviving tricky campaigns from the Round of 32 to the final, both sides are bubbling with confidence about their chances of winning.

While Fabulous qualified with wins over Northern Ladies (9-0), Prisons Ladies (2-0), Real Upper Ladies (4-1), and National Women's League champions, Ampem Darkoa, 4-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in regulation time, Police reached this far by beating LadyStrikers 1-0, Valued Girls 2-1, Samaria Ladies 1-0 and Immigration 5-3 on penalties after a 1-1 drawn game.

The stakes in the final match are just more than the trophy as both clubs are desperate to make history since they are yet to win any silverware. Also, with Ampem Darkoa having winning the National Women's League title, Police are keen to win the FA Cup to, at least, get a trophy for the southern zone this season.

The team managers of the finalists both believe they are better prepared to win the trophy and have asked their supporters to turn up in their numbers and prepare for celebration.

Yakubu Asamani of Police Ladies told the Graphic Sports: "This season has seen the most consistent performance from our team. Having missed the NWL final by a whisker, we are encouraged to build on what we achieved this season by winning the Sanford Cup.

"We are not interested in talking; we want to deliver on the pitch," said Asamani who also revealed that his team had gone into secret camping.

Edwin Torto also said Fabulous were also counting on their experience to clinch the title.

"We have more experienced players and also a game plan to claim the title. We will win in regulation time but if it travels into penalties, trust our goalkeeper, Memunatu Sulemana, to deliver. She's been phenomenal for the team, particularly in the FA Cup campaign and there is no better way to crown her efforts than win the title," Torto emphasised.

In addition to winning the Sanford Trophy, the winners will take home a cash prize of GHC10,000, while the runners-up receive GHC5,000.
