NPP inaugurates youth wing in Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency
Hundreds of supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency in the Eastern Region last Sunday defied a downpour to listen to messages from some leading members of the party at the inauguration of the party’s constituency youth wing at Akyem Ayirebi.

Addressing the party supporters, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Mr Kennedy Agyapong, advised NPP supporters to reject gifts in the form of money and food from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as that party had planned to buy out NPP agents on election day in order to have a field day.
He alleged that the NDC had set aside $500,000 to bribe NPP agents on December 7, 2016 and so NPP members should be wary of that diabolic plan.
He urged NPP members to be vigilant at the various polling stations, stressing that they should not leave after casting their ballots but stand a distance to monitor proceedings.
He alleged that the NDC had planned to arrest some leading members of the NPP on election day as a way of distracting party supporters from concentrating on the polls.
Mr Agyapong also alleged that the NDC had trained its fake policemen to cause commotion on polling day.
He claimed the NDC had negleted the Akan areas when it came to development projects.
He, therefore, enjoined the electorate to vote out the President John Mahama-led NDC and usher in the NPP on December 7, 2016 in order for them to see a marked improvement in their living standards.
Mr Awuku called on the electorate to vote massively for Nana Akufo-Addo and Mr Oppon-Nkrumah in the elections for them to enjoy better governance and quality development projects.
He stressed that Mr Oppon-Nkrumah, who is a ministerial material, would team up with Nana Akufo-Addo to bring investment to the area when voted into power to solve the unemployment problem in the constituency.
Mr Awuku also reiterated the need for NPP members to be vigilant on election day to prevent rigging.
He advised NPP supporters against casting their votes for NPP members who were contesting on the ticket of other parties.
Mr Adomako-Baafi, who said he was overwhelmed by the massive turnout, enjoined the people to translate their support into votes for Nana Akufo-Addo and Mr Oppon-Nkrumah on December 7 to ensure their success in the elections.
Mr Oppon-Nkrumah said the ‘one district, one factory’ promise by Nana Akufo-Addo would become a reality and so the electorate must vote the NPP into power on December 7 for them to benefit from the NPP leader.
He dispelled rumours that he was a stranger in the district, stressing that he was a native of Akyem Anyinase, which is an important town in the Akyemansa District.
He urged the electorate to disregard the unfounded rumour being peddled by his political opponents that the outgoing MP, Mr David Oppong-Kissi, had brought him to contest the seat because they were related.
