The EC had consistently said it had not been able to declare the results because the parties were refusing to sign the results. Ahead of the polls, the EC had agreed with the parties to declare results within 72 hours.

The EC chairperson, Mrs Charlotte Osei is scheduled to hold a media briefing shortly, according to Graphic Online correspondent Severious Kale Dery, who is embedded in the EC's collation centre.
