According to the MP, it is disheartening to find that people who are mandated to manage those properties are the very people who misuse them.

Dr Quaye-Kumah made the call when he presented some laboratory and medical equipment valued at GH₵150,000 to the Ledzokuku Krowor Municipal Assembly (LEKMA) Polyclinic at Nungua.

The pieces of equipment included a chemistry analyser, a haematology analyser, an autoclave machine, a water distiller, a blood bank fridge and three wheelchairs.

The MP said the items were procured after he had consulted the administration of the polyclinic.

He expressed the hope that the equipment would go a long way to improve on healthcare delivery at the polyclinic.

MP lauded

The acting Medical Superintendent of the LEKMA Polyclinic, Dr William Okyere-Frempong, who received the items on behalf of the polyclinic, said the items had come at the right time, as the facility was in dire need of them.

He said they were critical items needed in the provision of quality health care.

He expressed gratitude to the MP for the gesture and mentioned that healthcare delivery was a combined effort which required the support of everyone.

Dr Okyere-Frempong also called on individuals and corporate bodies to support the polyclinic in its quest to provide quality health care.
