Suame Police investigate case of assault at Nketia

The Police in Suame in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region are investigating a land dispute at Nketia near Asuofua that led to one Solomon Baah Akyamfuo being assaulted.

On Tuesday, September 7, 2016, Solomon had gone to his plot of land on which he had placed a quantity of sand to be used for work on the property when Nana Boateng attacked him.

Following a scuffle between the two over the ownership of the plot, two young men wielding machetes arrived on the scene and subjected Solomon to beatings and also inflicted cutlass wounds on him.

Solomon who sustained injuries reported the incident to the Asuofua Police and he was issued with a police medical report form to attend hopsital for treatment.

Nana Boateng and the two suspects were arrested and granted bail the same day.

Meanwhile the case has been referred to the Suame Divisional Police Command.

According to Solomon, he bought the land from the Nketiahene, Nana Nketiaku Poku in 2013 and had in his possession all relevant documents covering it.

Nana Boateng for his part claimed that he bought the same plot of land from the late Nana Poku Agyemang, Akrafohene in 2006, in addition to three other plots and had all documentation covering the lands.
