The former President and his wife, accompanied by a large delegation which included their daughter and NDC Parliamentary candidate for Korle Klottey, Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, cousins Michael Agbotui Soussoudis, Cann-Tamakloe and John Blagogee and a host of others, joined the President and his family for a short Islamic ceremony at their family residence in Accra to bid farewell to Hajia Nneba who passed away at the SSNIT Hospital last Tuesday.

The ceremony, which was presided over by the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Nuhu Sharabutu, was attended by government officials, leading members of the NDC, the NPP and other opposition parties as well as scores of sympathisers and party supporters.

Earlier (last Thursday morning), the former President called on President Mahama at his official residence to privately extend his sympathies to him. Former President Rawlings was accompanied by his daughters Zanetor, Yaa Asantewaa and Amina.

Hajia Nneba was buried at Busunu, her hometown in the West Gonja District, yesterday.
