Graphic News App to alert users on breaking news

Graphic Communications Group Limited is to improve on its digital news app [Graphic News App] so as to alert users on breaking news.

The move is aimed at feeding patrons with trending issues and on the minute bases information.

The initiative, according to the Head of Information Technology, Madam Christabel Mfoamfo is to help bridge the gap between the print version of the six newspapers published by the GCGL which is currently delivered to clients via mobile phone and other electronic devices at dawn.

Making a presentation at the Graphic Business Stanbic Bank Breakfast Meeting in Accra Tuesday, Madam Mfoamfo said the breaking news version was one of other innovations from the company aimed at improving the quality of services delivered.

The others, she said included plans to make it possible for iOS users to download the News App as well make it compatible to browsers.

She was confident the new innovations will help delight customers.

As a company that is trusted with providing trustworthy and authentic news for over five decades, Madam Mfoamfo said people needed to patronise the Graphic News App to help avoid being fed with half-truths, which is fast becoming the trend in the social media-dominated world.
