The items included bags of rice, eggs, drinks, milk, sugar, canned fish, among other provisions. About 300 widows benefited from the donation.

A leading family counselor, Mr Albert Krampah, encouraged the widows not to lose hope because of the situation confronting them but to organise themselves to lead meaningful lives for the benefit of their families and society at large.

Consolation

For his part, the Station Manager of Adehye and Kumasi FMs, Reverend Alex Ofei, advised the widows to take consolation in the children the Lord has blessed them with and be grateful instead of brooding over their predicament.

He said the best legacy they could bequeath to their children was to offer them the best education that would enable them to fend for themselves in the future,  when they (mothers) were no more.

Rev. Ofei exhorted them to put their trust in the Lord Jesus and inculcate discipline and patriotism in their children.

A beneficiary, Maame Asirifi, on behalf of the others, expressed their appreciation to the company and prayed for God’s blessings for them.
