Professor Mawutor Avoke is new Vice Chancellor for UEW

Professor Mawutor Avoke, Dean of Graduate Studies at the University of Education Winneba (UEW), has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor (V.C).

This is contained in a press statement signed by Dr. Christopher Akwaa-Mensah, Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council of the University.

The statement indicated that the appointment of Prof. Avoke, immediate past Pro. Vice Chancellor of UEW, took place at a special meeting of the Council held at Winneba on July 30.

The statement indicated that Prof. Avoke’s new appointment takes effect from October 1, when he would take over from Prof. Akwasi Asabere Ameyaw, the current V.C, whose tenure of office ends on September 30..

The Council also appointed Mr. Viscount Buernortey Buer as the new Librarian for UEW, and his appointment takes effect from October 1.
