Circuit 29  placed second,  followed by Circuit 27 which took the third  position.  They were each awarded certificates of participation.

The students competed in activities such as choral music, sight singing, drama dance, poetry recital, drum appellations,  among others.

The festival, which comes off every two years, was on the theme, ‘Peace, Unity and Hard Work Promotes Development.”

Addressing the gathering, the Chairman of the festival, Mr Justice Steven Kofi Armah of the Kaneshie ‘6’ Primary School,  urged students not only to concentrate on the academics  but also to pay attention to co-curricular activities such as the arts  since they could take them to greater heights.

Mr Armah also suggested to head teachers to introduce other disciplines such as cook art and still life drawing into the competition, adding that, “they will further help identify and harness young talents for the development of the country.”
