According to him, graduation ceremonies mark the end of a long journey and the beginning of another journey in life; hence, they should acquit themselves creditably in all their endeavours.

The minister made the pronouncement at the 22nd congregation ceremony of the institution at its main campus at Oyibi, in the Kpone Katamanso District, during which a total of 2,391 graduates, made up of 190 postgraduate students and 2,201 undergraduates were awarded with degrees and diplomas.

The distribution by gender was 1,617 males, representing 67.62 per cent and 774 females representing 32.37 per cent.

Nii Afotey Agbo advised the graduates to remember their alma mater, stressing that “the one who graduates and stops learning will soon find him/herself behind the path to success; don’t forget your alma mater in all your successes”.

He commended the lecturers and the academic authorities and urged them to continue to work hard for the students to improve their lot to ensure their total development.

New Programmes

In his speech, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Daniel Bediako, said in its quest to offer more opportunities for  Ghana’s human resource, the university had processed 11 new programmes for accreditation.
