The initiative, which is an annual event, was implemented by the management of the bank in 2007 to encourage service persons who serve the bank to choose a needy home and provide support for them.
At the handing-over ceremony, the Head of Human Resource of the bank, Mr Samuel Boafo, expressed satisfaction with the dedication and efforts put up by the service persons.
He said the entire project was funded by the service persons, with support from Lion Aluminium Production Limited. The cost of the project was GH¢40,000.
"Identifying a need in society and providing support towards it is a sure way of becoming an entrepreneur. We at CAL Bank have decided to instill in our staff the need to lend support to needy in society,” he added.
The Proprietress of the home, Ms Joyce Koshie Lamptey, expressed appreciation to the personnel from the bank for choosing Joykol.
She gave an assurance that the management of the home would maintain the facility at all times to provide a conducive teaching and learning environment.
"We have no reason to complain but to do our best for the pupils of this home," she stated.
