BlueHub, First Private University Incubator in Ghana

An incubation centre aimed at creating and growing young businesses has been established by BlueCrest College, dubbed BlueHub. The centre will help provide young businesses with support in terms of resources and services, including physical space, capital, coaching, common services and network connections. The Chairman of the Governing Council, Dr Kapil Gupta, who made this known at a graduation ceremony of the university, said that five entrepreneurs would be supported by funding of up to US $10,000 each as seed capital every year.

He said as the first step towards establishing the BlueHub, the university organised a two-day festival of ideas called Innofest 2015 to offer young entrepreneurs a platform to showcase their innovative ideas.

He explained that, the festival of ideas was also used as a platform for ten of the participants to secure a place in BlueHub where they would undergo a six-month training programme on entrepreneurship and product development.
