Although he is yet to be a household name, Afrobeat artiste, Quachie believes some musicians become one time hit makers because they do not write their songs.

According to him, musicians who write their own songs always come out with new ideas and stay relevant for a long time.

“That is why the likes of Okyeame Kwame, Sarkodie, Samini and Shatta Wale are doing so great. They write their own songs.

“Imagine a musician falls out with his song writer. How can such a musician continue making hits and stay relevant? I am not surprised Okyeame Kwame has won Song Writer of the Year on a number of occasions at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA),” he told Showbiz in an interview.

Quachie, real name, George Sarpong, who is out with his first single ɔdɔ Asoma Woɔ under his record label, SarpMusik, says he will make it on the music scene and remain relevant for a long time because he writes very good songs.

“I am not bragging but Ghanaians will know very soon who Quachie is. I am coming out very big” he said.

ɔdɔ Asoma Woɔ is a true life story of Quachie who would do anything for his woman. On the song, he goes all out to tell his lover he can kill himself for her if the need arises.

According to him, good women are hard to come by and since his sweetheart means everything to him, he will treat her with respect and shower her with all the gifts she desires.

He does a good job for a new artiste on his debut single. The old student of IPMC sings and raps on his debut single rendered in an Afrobeat vein.
