Originally scheduled for April 25 to 30 at the Accra Sports Stadium, the event was postponed due to technical reasons. The tournament will attract players from Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, Benin, Cote d'Ivoire as well as the US and UK.

According to the organisers, the postponement has made it possible for discussions to be concluded with some sponsors who are ready to partner the headline sponsor to make the event  memorable.

They stated that the new date took into consideration the ban on noise-making in the Ga Traditional Area which was lifted on June 2.

Attention will be focused on how the champions of the previous editions perform against competitors from the neighbouring countries.

The first two editions were opened to only Ghanaians and were won by Jeff Bagerbaseh and George Darko, with Francisca Nyarko winning the ladies edition.

Meanwhile, McDan Shipping Company and the Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) have announced new sponsorship deals from Rush Energy Drink and West Blue Consulting.
