Rush Rep Day tennis begins Thurs
Rush Energy Drink is driving the love for tennis and making it a family sport in Kumasi with its maiden sponsorship of the 4 Garrison versus Hill Club of Cape Coast clash in a special Republic Day tennis fiesta in Kumasi.

The company, which has been at the periphery in tennis development and promotion, took a giant step in making the four-day competition great and to help harness some of the nation’s best talents.
The 4 Garrison Club is hoping to build upon its home invincibility with a blistering start from Thursday to Sunday at the Officers Mess Tennis Court in Kumasi.
It will take the format of men’s singles, men’s doubles, ladies’ singles and ladies’ doubles.
In an interview with the President of the club, Mr Samuel Ampadu-Kyei (Kyikyiss), said the relationship between the club and Rush Energy Drink was expected to be enhanced with more future competitions.
He said the clash against Hill Club was also to build new relationship and synergies that would transcend tennis.
Four Garrison is expected to present a crack team comprising ACP Adusah Poku, Samuel Ampadu-Kyei, Nana Attakora, Kwasi Dekyi, Henry Akwaboah, Peprah Sarpong, Kofi Affum Baffoe, Ernest Antwi, Brig. Gen. J. Adu Boampong, Kwame Asare, James Osei Kwarteng, Anthony Wularu Salifu, captain of the club, Seidu Abebe.
The rest are Capt. G.G. Klu-Amedeka, Maxwell Owusu, Nii kwei Kussachin, Dr. Alexis Nane-Beifuba, Eric Asante, Richard Torku, Justice Edward Amoako Asante, Kwadwo Kyei, Dr. Kojo Ansah, Robert Tetteh, Dr Abraham Oppong, Liberty Kwashie Amamo, Augustine Boateng, and Ray Cobbinah.
The ladies team include Brenda Sutinga, Linda Oduro, Charlotte Nyamekye, Mrs Peggy Oppong Bawuah, Dr. Rabiatu E. Abdullai, Brenda Bangdome and Dzifa Ahorlu.
The Hill Club is likely to feature Ben Nartey, Frank Kuoffie (Chairman), Eduam Acquah, Jerry Atakpa, Tony Abban, Tony Annan, Rev Kwesi Essel, Dr Aaron Ofei (expe), Mike Krakue, Willy Agyekum, Kwesi Bondzi, Akwasi Buadu, Patrick Honey, Emmanuel Aliba, Allan Crentsil, Gyasi Hayford, Michael Acheampong, Kojo Gabriel and Josephine Simons.
