He said there was the need for corporate bodies to support the sport so as to help enrol more youth for training as stars in the future.

Mr Hany admitted that some of the equipment used for the sports could be expensive and out of the reach many youth who would like to learn the sports and believed that if the corporate bodies were to come on board, the tennis clubs in the country could assist them.

He said as part of the Lebanon club's measures to develop the sports for instance, it organises a yearly tournament for juniors and adults.

Mr Hany said the club will in the later part of this year also introduce a mini tournament for the under 14.

The objective of the mini tournament he said was to discover talent and promote them to become stars and probably become professionals.

He said organising such tournament could be very expensive and was very grateful to sponsors like MTN and Pepsi for sponsoring its last Africa Union Tennis Open tournament.

He appealed to other companies to also come on board to promote the sports.

The president of the club urged the youth not focus on money but devote their time to learn the sports and develop their talents for future.

“learn the sports now, the money will come later”, he said.
