VIDEO: Mane inspires Liverpool's 4-0 win over West Ham
Liverpool thrashed West Ham in a 4-0 win at Anfield that suggests they are absolutely in the reckoning for a title push
Ham lined up with five new signings, Felipe Anderson the standout of them all, and though there was intent to have a go at Jurgen Klopp's side, few teams in the league could have coped with the relentless pace, energy and creativity of Liverpool.
Sadio Mane scored twice - including one goal which was clearly offside - after Mo Salah had opened his account for the season with another close-range tap-in. West Ham tried to hold on and took up more of a defensive approach to the game later on but constantly pulled apart by the quick running and sharp movement of their hosts.
Daniel Sturridge replaced Salah in the dying minutes of the game and scored the fourth, taking advantage of Robert Snodgrass' inadvertent flick-on at the near post to pass the ball into an empty net.
