Taekwondo team gear up for Unity Games

Mr Norbet Amefu, the coach of Greater Accra Taekwondo Association, has expressed his team’s readiness to excel in the forthcoming National Unity Games in August.

In an interview with the Daily Graphic yesterday, Mr Amefu said they were training very hard and that he knew for sure that they would return from the games victorious.

‘’The men and women are trianing very hard and this is an assurance of victory at the Unity Games in August, he said.

According to him, the association had recruited 17 players, comprising 12 men and five women. These players train three times a week at the D.G. Hathiramani Sports Hall, and begining July 5, the training would  be a daily affair.

Mr Amefu noted that so far, the players were going through their paces smoothly, sending positive signals about what was in store for their opponents.
