Hearts, Oly clash in Mantse Derby

A crucial derby between Accra Hearts of Oak and rivals, Accra Great Olympics at the Accra Stadium will headline some mouth-watering 19th fixtures of the betPawa Premier League which comes off tomorrow.

Dubbed the ‘Mantse Derby’, matches involving the two sides have always been very competitive and tomorrow, they will rekindle their age-old rivalry which often draws large crowds to the stadium.

The two sides are experiencing inconsistency in form and tomorrow’s fixture will be fierce as both teams aim to bounce back in the league, especially with the Phobians warming up for a blockbuster showdown with Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

Defending champions Kotoko also have a tough test against improving Bechem United at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, with Kotoko looking for revival after crashing out of the FA Cup competition with a 0-1 loss to Aduana Stars FC last Sunday.

League leaders, Aduana Stars will welcome struggling King Faisal to the Nana Agyemang Badu Park at Dormaa-Ahenkro, Bibiani Goldstars will play host to Nsoatreman FC at the Dunk’s Park in Bibiani, while Karela United will lock horns with Accra Lions at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park, Aiyinase.

In other fixtures, FC Samartex 1996 will play as guests of Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park, Tamale City will trek to the El-Wak Stadium in Accra to clash with Legon Cities, Akyem Kotoku Royals will battle with Dreams FC at the Dawu Park, with RTU welcoming Medeama to the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.
