The Acting Managing Director of the Graphic Communications Group Limited, Mr Ransford Tetteh has hinted that his outfit will embark on a nationwide health walk to increase awareness of the Graphic-Devtraco Dream House Promotion which was launched last month while exercising to keep fit.

Mr Ransford Tetteh made the announcement last Saturday as the staff of the company embarked on a health walk to promote the brand which seeks to reward loyal readers of the Daily Graphic, Graphic Sports, The Mirror, Graphic Showbiz, Junior Graphic and Graphic Business with two-bedroom Devtraco houses and other exciting prizes.

"This walk is an exciting experience for all of us. We are just not selling our products with this walk but we also want to keep healthy. We want to do this again climbing the Aburi mountains where we hope to meet more customers of the Graphic. This is a good beginning and we hope to repeat it in the near future so we encourage all workers to join,” he said.

Mr Tetteh, who is the Development Chief (Nkosuohene) of Pakro with the stool name, Nana Kweku Dei led the walk with many other staff who distributed leaflets on the loyalty promotion backed by brass band music.

In an address, the Marketing Director, Mr Franklin Sowa noted that his outfit decided to put the event together to build up a culture of keeping fit and healthy living and also seize the occasion to inform the public about the promotion.

"We are sensitive to the health conditions of our workers and we also believe that a healthy mind lives in a healthy body. A few months ago we organised a health screening for all our workers nationwide so this walk is a follow up on that screening," Mr Sowa said.

"Also the Graphic-Devtraco Dream House is one of the exciting things that the Graphic Communications Group Limited has brought to the market to change the dynamics of the media landscape so we embarked on this walk to improve the awareness of the promotion, excite the general public and to remind them that we have over GH¢1 million value of prizes to give away.”

The 7.8 kilometre walk took participants through some principal streets of Accra, starting from the Graphic Press House through Liberia Road, Starlets ‘91 Road in front of the Accra Sports Stadium, the Castle Road between Osu Cemetery through to Accra Psychiatric Hospital through to the Additrom Street at Adabraka and back to the starting point where the participants engaged in aerobics to crown the day.

It was organised in partnership with management of the Accra Brewery Limited, who provided water and soft drinks for refreshment.
