Former boxing chief tips Ghana to excel at 2023 All Africa Games

A former President of the Ghana Boxing Authority, Moses Foh-Amoaning, has tipped Ghana to win gold medals in boxing at the 2023 All Africa Games.

Ghana is set to submit a bid to host the 2023 All Africa Games and the former boxing chief expects the national amateur team, Black Bombers, to reap medals in boxing because of the benefits to be derived from the upcoming boxing league known as “Bukom Fists of Fury”.

Bukom Fists of Fury is a new boxing league which is set to commence on October 12 at the Bukom Boxing Arena and will feature talents from across many boxing gyms in the country.

The competition will involve boxers fighting in the juvenile level, amateur and professional levels.

Mr Foh-Amoaning told the Daily Graphic that he was hopeful about the revival of boxing for the next five years.

He said the expected benefits of the Fist of Fury would be felt at the 2023 All Africa Games.

“I want to see that in the boxing event, if there are 12 medals, Ghanaian boxers win all the gold medals at all the weight categories,” he predicted.
