The Ghana Football Association (GFA) did not disclose the specifics of the injury that led to the PAOK defender's absence.

Despite a strong start to the season with PAOK, the former Chelsea defender faced jeers from spectators when he was substituted.
Fatawu Hamidu, aged 24, will now join the Black Stars squad in preparation for Tuesday's international friendly against Liberia.
The ex-Accra Lions and Vision FC defender has participated in Medeama's two CAF Champions League preliminary qualifying matches this season, as well as the Super Cup triumph over Dreams FC.
This fixture, scheduled at the Accra Sports Stadium, forms part of the groundwork for the commencement of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
