“I felt great on the court again, so I’m really happy,” said Alcaraz. “I don’t think I could have asked for a better semifinal.”
The 21-year-old Spaniard, who has won four Grand Slam titles, now has a 6-2 record against Medvedev.
He will face world number one Jannik Sinner in the final. Jannik Sinner is an Italian professional tennis player. He is ranked the world No. 1 in singles by the ATP, the first Italian player in history to reach the top ranking.
The first set was tough, with five breaks of serve, but Alcaraz secured the set with a break in the 12th game. After winning the first set, he played with more confidence, and Medvedev struggled to keep up. Alcaraz finished the match in 88 minutes.
Alcaraz has now won eight matches in a row, including victories in the Davis Cup, Laver Cup, and now in Beijing, since his loss at the U.S. Open.
