Cabic Promotions: Dodzi vows to KO Allotey Saturday
Welterweight Frank Dodzi has predicted a third-round knockout over Patrick Allotey when they slug it out for the WBO Africa Super Welterweight title at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Saturday.
Dodzi (19-9, 17 KOs) believes he has what it takes to stop Allotey (37-3, 29 KOs) but admitted it was going to be a tough fight for both boxers on the night.
The Allotey-Dodzi fight will headline Cabic Promotions and Management’s maiden fight night dubbed: "Clash of Warriors" at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra.
Addressing a pre-fight press conference at the Bukom Boxing Arena yesterday, Dodzi said, "It will be a tough fight for both boxers on the night but I believe he won't last three rounds".
Dodzi's prediction began the war of words between the pair as Allotey, in his response, vowed to retire from the sport should his opponent achieve his target.
He, however, refused to preach any knockout over his opponent but remained optimistic about winning convincingly over Dodzi, stressing that his opponent has no exceptional scale that could trouble him.
"I like it when boxers like Dodzi brag but the question is, how can he stop me? He doesn't have any exceptional skill to trouble me on Saturday.
"It will be in my interest to retire from boxing if Dodzi should knock me out on Saturday. I don't want to talk about that because it will never happen," Allotey said.
The WBO Supervisor for Africa, Samir Captan, called on both boxers to give their best on the night since winning the belt could move them to 13th in the world ranking.
The President of Cabic Promotions, Ivan Kudjoe urged both boxers to put up a good show in order to witness great boxing on the night.
