Atsu: No regrets over Chelsea move

It's been two years since, basically out of the blue, that Christian Atsu left FC Porto to join Chelsea.

The signing made more business than footballing sense at the time — Atsu's transfer fee was a miniscule £3.5m — and the subsequent two seasons' worth of loans haven't done much to change the balance of the situation. 

Despite that, Atsu claims he has "no regrets" over the decision to join Chelsea, and believes he's still "good enough."

"I have absolutely no regrets at all for joining Chelsea.  I believe I am good enough and that is why the club even signed me.  I know it is a big club but if I didn't believe in my quality, I wouldn't have signed for them."

At times, Atsu certainly did seem "good enough."  He was good for Vitesse, for example, and was a bright spot for Ghana at the World Cup last season and at the Africa Cup of Nations in January.  But to say that his Everton loan last season was a failure might be an extreme understatement and exp
