Aduana to play Raja tomorrow
Aduana Stars left Accra last Sunday for Morocco to take on Raja Casablanca in their last CAF Confederation Cup group game at the Stade Mohammed V tomorrow at 7p.m.
This was after losing 2-0 to ASEC Mimosas in their own backyard a fortnight ago.
The last time the two sides met at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park at Dormaa-Ahenkro on May 16, Aduana were held to a 3-3 draw, much to the displeasure of their teeming followers.
With their dream of taking the rest of Africa by storm already shattered, Aduana Stars have no option than to make the trip for formality sake.
Ahead of their departure last Sunday, head coach of the team, Kenichi Yatsuhashi revealed to the Daily Graphic that his team’s chances of winning the game was near impossible, apparently throwing in the towel even before the match begins.
Coach Kenichi also complained about management’s decision to take only 14 players to the trip to save cost, saying the decision will affect their already bad situation.
“I am not happy about the decision at all because I cannot make changes when I want to and I discussed it with the leadership of the club but it appears they have already made up their minds.
It is going to affect our performance. It is near impossible to win this match,” he stressed.
