Ghanaian referee Daniel Nii Laryea has been selected for the 2020 Total African Nations Championship (CHAN), in Cameroun.
He is the only Ghanaian referee who was chosen to officiate in the competition reserved for players plying their trade in their domestic leagues.
The 33-year-old is expected to undertake for a refresher course ahead of the tournament on January 11, 2021. Selected referees and their assistants will undergo physical, theoretical and technical test during the course to get themselves ready for the January 16 -February 7, 2021 competition.
The biennial tournament was initially slated for April of this year, but was rescheduled due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Cameroun will use the sixth CHAN tournament as a dress rehearsal for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations, which was also postponed due to the pandemic.
