It's time to stop Zambia from sitting on our happiness - Muntari

Sulley Muntari, primed for actionGhana’s in-form Sulley Ali Muntari has big dreams to rally his Black Stars colleagues to whip the hell out of Zambia, come September 6 when the Stars lock horns with the Chipolopolo for the Group D sole right to march on for a Brazil 2014 ticket.

He reckons the Zambians cannot continue to dictate the pace and will be stopped from continuing to sit on the comfort of Ghanaians.

Zambia have proven a real pain in the affairs of Ghana soccer, and have in recent encounters picked more fruitful wins against Ghana, including the back-to-back wins in the February, 2012 African Cup of Nations Semi-final game and the World Cup 2014, qualifier four months later, both ending in 1:0.

Victory therefore will not be the only inspiration, according to Sulley who spoke to Accra radio Joy FM, humiliation also awaits the Copper Bullets.

Zambia only recently relinquished the mantle of leadership for the group’s qualifiers after suffering a shocking draw at home to Sudan and thus saw the Black Stars creep onto the pile with 12 points and 14 goals to their credit while Zambia follows in second position with 11 points and 8 goals.

With the do-and-die final group qualifier scheduled for the Kumasi Sports Stadium, Sulley says it should be pay-back time for the Black Stars.

“They’ve been sitting our happiness for too long, you know, and putting joke aside, we want to make our people happy, we want to make them really happy”, he said, pointing out he and his colleagues were all set to crush the hurdle to the World Cup and advised Zambia may as well not turn up for the match.

His colleague Jonathan Mensah also said while they expect a stiff contest, the Black Stars have what it takes to dismiss the Zambians and they will do everything to ensure a win and another World Cup berth.
