FA stakeholders meet in Cape Coast

Members of the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), led by FA President, Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi, together with other principal arms of the FA will embark on a three-day summit beginning today at the Ridge Royal Hotel in Cape Coast to deliberate on key decisions for the well-being of the game.

According to the GFA spokesperson, Ibrahim Sannie Daara, the expanded stakeholder meeting will tackle various topics, including the revival of youth football, sponsorship for the various competitions, among others, with a report on the three-day summit sent to the FA’s Executive Committee (ExCo) which will later put the recommendations into a proposal to Congress for consideration.

Among key stakeholders to participate in the summit are representatives of the Women’s League Board, Premier League Board, FA Cup Committee, Division One League, Referees Association of Ghana (RAG) and the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) and the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA).

Other committees expected to give an account of their operations for the year under review are the Disciplinary Committee, Ethics Committee, Appeals Committee, Player Status Committee, National Juvenile Committee as well as Marketing and Sponsorship Committee, while the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) will attend as observers.
