Bayern Munich are UEFA Champions League Winners

Arjen Robben won the Champions League final for Bayern Munich. A long ball is back heeled through to the Dutchman by Ribery and he scuffs his shot into the back of the net. Robben has been darting from flank to flank and in the 89th minute he makes the decisive moment through the middle.

Bayern Munich beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1 at Wembley stadium on Saturday 25th May 2013 to be crowned European champions for the fifth time This was first all-German Champions League final.

Bayern, were on the back foot for much of the first half though they had majority of possession, they through Ribery find Robben, in the 60th minute  who rounds the keeper and squares to Mandzukic who has a simple tap-in for the 1st goal.

The German champions' joy was short-lived though as Dortmund leveled eight minutes later with Ilkay Guendogan who had nerves of steel, calmly steered the ball into the bottom corner to bring Dortmund level. The penalty resulted from a flailing leg from Dante on Reus. The contact was not heavy but the Brazilian clearly made contact with the stomach of the Borussia player

Dortmund looked to be holding on for extra time before Robben broke free to score the winner and send the Bayern fans into raptures.

For the record, Mandzukic is only the second Croatian to score in any European final. Boban scored for AC Milan in the 1995 European Super Cup and Gündogan's penalty goal was his first ever in the Champions League and his fourth goal of the season.
